Casement Park Update January 2026

As we enter 2026 and to communicate clearly, to grassroots GAA followers, what is known about Casement Park and based on the publically available information, as of today, the sources referenced in this Casement Park Status Update are:

1. Minister of Finance Written Ministerial Statement (Draft Budget 2026-2029/30) – Northern Ireland Department of Finance, providing budget allocations and financial framework for the period.
2. Ulster GAA Annual Convention 2025 Secretary’s Report – Brian McAvoy, Ulster GAA Secretary, detailing project progress, funding developments, and strategic planning.
3. BBC Sport NI (6 January 2026) – Article by David Mohan titled “Casement Park ‘may finally enter delivery phase’ in 2026”, reporting on the current status and timeline predictions.

These three sources provided the factual information on the project status, financial position, budget allocations, and timeline for the Casement Park redevelopment included in the document.

Good to hopefully see a phased delivery on site this year. Discussions have been had, to chroncile activities on site but alas, no definitive word as yet.
